Apple Butter!

This is for you Stace! (or anyone else who wants to try it!)

Grandma Root's Apple Butter --

10 cups processed apples

5 cups sugar

2 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

1 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Cook for 4 or 5 hours – Very Low temp – the longer the darker the apple butter.

Of course Grandma went out in the backyard and picked all the apples and then processed them into applesauce herself! I just bought huge amounts of Tree Top natural applesauce that had nothing but apples and water in it. If you get regular applesauce it will already have sugar and stuff in it so it might make it taste different.

If you have questions on how to seal the jars of apple butter, just let me know!
